Record Keeping

During the game, it is important that you keep an accurate record of tries, goals, drop goals for both teams and it can be useful to keep a running score written down. (In close games, junior players will ask often what the score is and how long there is left!).

If you need to take disciplinary action ensure you record:

 The game time of the incident
 The nature of the incident
 The score when the incident occurred
 The offending players numbers and names
 Action taken

All of this will need to be recorded on the official score sheet and a report will need to be submitted to the disciplinary secretary for red card dismissals.
 After the Game

Ensure that you communicate the score to both clubs – complete and sign the team sheet. Where the sheet is in three parts, ensure both clubs receive a copy of the final sheet. You are responsible for sending the team sheet back to the local league.

You should also complete (for Junior Games) a club assessment form. This should be sent along with the team/score sheets.

Where you have had to make a red card dismissal, you should complete a report form  and send this with as much detail as possible to the disciplinary secretary. You should consult a member of the committee for guidance on content if you are not certain.
